Microsoft Surface + Consumer Healthcare App Health Vault

This is a pretty impressive example of how the right apps can leverage multi-touch really, really well (give it a minute to load up) –
Living with the Windows 7 Beta, you always feel the lack of truly exciting multi-touch apps. When videos like this pop up, its a reminder of how much potential multi-touch, and by extension Windows 7, holds.
Here are a few multi-touch apps I’d like to see for Windows 7 -
- The really cool photo gallery app in all the early Windows 7 multi-touch demos.
- Apps like Health Vault.
- Apps that let people do things together.
It’d also be good to have a Windows App Store.
In terms of Health, the opportunity is immense, and there are two advances I’ve been watching with interest -
- Companies building gadgets specifically for the Health industry and/or taking existing technology and leveraging it for healthcare. The video above is a good example.
- Google consolidating health records from various pharmacies and trying to create a global repository of patient records.
