Windows 7 Beta Key now available

Microsoft now has the download working and more importantly the Windows 7 Beta keys available. Check out the Windows 7 Beta Key page.

You have to login to passport first, and then use the link above to navigate – you’ll have to click on the download link. That then takes you to a login page and a registration page.

If you’re already logged in, you can navigate directly to  -

  1. Windows 32 Key – https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/productkeys/win7-32/enus/default.aspx
  2. Windows 64 Key – https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/productkeys/win7-64/enus/default.aspx

Note that it let me get a 32 bit and a 64 bit key from one single account (I’m going to be running Windows 7 on two separate computers so I do need it).

A few more notes -

  1. Do read the installation instructions.  
  2. The Beta will work till August 1st, 2009.  
  3. Activation worked really quickly for me.
