Windows 7 Lean? Windows 7 to leave out some apps in favour of a ‘clean’ OS

PCMech has an interesting post – the key thing that stood out for me was that Windows 7 would not include Windows Movie Maker, Windows Mail, Windows Photo Gallery and these will be optional downloads via Windows Live download service.
This is a really good move. I haven’t used any of these services – ever. In fact there are times when I go and remove windows components just to speed up my machine. A leaner OS takes up less RAM, less space, and gives me better performance on the apps I actually use. great move Microsoft!
